Wann ist ein Auto zu laut?

Wenn es Alarmanlagen in Tiefgaragen auslöst?
Zugegeben, die Aufnahme gibt nicht einmal annähernd wieder, wie stark es in dem Parkhaus widerhallt und dröhnt. Aber offensichtlich ist es genug, um die Ultraschallsensoren einer Auto-Alarmanlage auszulösen.
In der kompletten Sounddatei würde man mich hinterher wie ein kleines Kind kudern hören, nachdem ich ein paar Sekunden später erst begriffen hab, was überhaupt passiert ist. ;)

So when's a car too loud? When it sets off car alarms in parking garages?
I have to admit, that the soundfile doesn't even come close to how much there's soundreflection in that particular garage and how loud and how much droning there really is, but apparently it's enough to set off the ultrasound-sensors of a car alarm.
I had quite a laugh there and didn't realize for a few seconds what had happened. In the original file you could hear me giggling like a little kid over the situation. ;)

...hat mir neue Sitze geschickt. Leider nicht in blau, das hätte nochmal 3Monate gedauert. Ausserdem gäbs den blauen Cord nur in breit gewebt, nicht so schmal wie den der Rücksitze und der schwarzen Vordersitze. Aber ansonsten top! Man sitzt ein klein bisschen tiefer gegenüber den Seriensitzen und man muss sich für Seitenhalt nicht mehr am Lenkradfesthalten. Lediglich die Konsolenadapter auf den 02er sind ein bisschen lieblos gemacht, da hab ich schon schöneres gesehen. Unabhängig davon, dass der fahrerseitige Adapter auf dem Bild noch verkehrtherum eingebaut ist. ;)

...brought me new seats. I would have preferred them in blue just like the old ones were, but that would've taken another 3 months. I love them however. I'm sitting a tad lower now and they have great comfort.
The only thing i don't like that much are the console adapters, they're a bit crude. Apart from the fact, that the driver's side adapter is still installed backwards in that pic ;)

AFR II

Letztens hab ich mal wieder die AFR-Anzeige angesteckt, um zu schaun, ob die Motoreinstellung immer noch so perfekt passt wie direkt nach dem Prüfstand.
Und siehe da: alles passt perfekt. Unter Volllast geht er wunderbar auf die 12.5-12,9 AFR hin, so wies sein soll (siehe Diagramm unter http://touringmm.blogspot.de/2011/11/afr.html).
Irgendwann werd ich mal ein hübscheres, zeitgenössischeres Gehäuse für die Anzeige bauen, dann kann ich sie auch permanent angesteckt lassen und muss sie nicht immer im Handschuhfach verstecken.

A few days ago i decided to plug in my AFR-gauge to check if everything's still as perfect as on the day it came back from the dyno. And as it shows, it still is. The AFR stayed around 12.5-12,9 under full throttle, just as is should be like i stated on my earlier blogpost http://touringmm.blogspot.de/2011/11/afr.html.
